Spotlight: The New WoW Marketeer

Well i'll be damn. A few days ago i made a post in the Spotlight section after months of not posting anything in The Spotlight section because i had nothing to share with you, and here i am today with another installment about a new site that i found that is worth mentioning.

Some of you might have heard about WowMarketeer as he was and if i am right still is making videos about the WoW Economy, but this is not a post about that, no, this is because the original site was revamped and made into a information central hub.

From what i saw, their idea for the site is quite admirable. They want to make it a hub where you will be able to get all your information about WoW, be it PvP, PvE or Auction House Gold making.

Another thing worth mentioning is that you can find quite a bit of links to other sources about WoW as well, you can find links for different Blogs, different Videos and they even have a Live Stream corner. On top of all this they have their own section for guides ( kinda slim at the moment but hopefully it will get better with time ).

The best thing about this is that they have an open policy for suggestions, so if you happen to know of a blog, or a site that covers WoW and they haven't put it up on their watch list drop them a mail and i am sure they will want to put it up there. Also if you happen to be the owner of a blog, or a podcast or even a Live Stream that you do about WoW holler at them and see if they would like to add you to their Syndication.

So like i said they have an awesome idea to make a site that will cover all bases of WoW, and the best thing about sites like this is that if they play their cards straight and get some feedback from the community by telling them what they like, and what they would like to see, they can turn into a great informational site. Remember one thing, today's Mega popular MMO-Champion started out just like this and now it's very valuable resource for every WoW player. So give them a quick glance, and lets hope they play their cards well and make this site into everything it can be.

    1. First of all it's not a blog, it's a hub with information from a bunch of different blogs. And secondly i thought you were never coming back on this blog, ever.

    2. Vile, Unfortunately trolls will always be trolls. They feed off of negativity and have to spout it everywhere. Thank you very much for the kind words about WoWMarkteer. We can only hope that in time it will grow and we are dedicated to pushing it forward. <3

    3. I think a lot of people are forgetting that we're dealing with World of Warcraft related information. Gold making information. Like Vile said, it's an information HUB. At one point or another, gold bloggers will cover the bases, stuff that has already been done. Their version or not. The Marketeer had an import list that was found on another bloggers site. She didn't initially come up with the TSM shopping list idea. Just because she picked one particular item and ADDED IT TO HER OWN LIST, doesn't mean she owns the rights to it. Cold you are very annoying and need to get a life. Grow up dude, seriously. Don't try to be an internet tough guy. Any "BLOGGER" who charges non-virtual money for any of their services is a sham and is discredited anyhow. Take a look at yourself before you try to put other people on blast, Cold.

    4. Another thing I would like to point out is Arida has given credit to things he has borrowed in the past. I'm sure Arida basically called the b%&#h a b$%@# because she exploded her tears all over his site even before he had a chance to explain herself, apologize, or respond in a proper manner. The author of clockwork riot is very full of herself and arrogant. Again -- it's World of Warcraft GOLD related information. Quit being so shallow people

    5. @Anonymous
1st of all the big deal was the bi7ch thing, he showed his true colors, according to you he was under pressure, then why go and troll on Faid's minecraft stream? (http://www.twitch.tv/faidtastic/b/312973091) that just shows he didn't regret anything until he lost the spot on UMJ, lets not fake it, WoW is full of m0rons and arida is one of them, you choose to be a moron in game, don't ask why people don't like you then

    6. What, you and 3 other people dont like him? grow the fuck up. Arida, your awesome dude and there's no denying it. It's like 4 against a million here and wowuction.com is far better than TUJ ever will be haha.

  2. Funny that DrAstheria (WowMarketeer's wife) comes to the rescue.

Now is a hub? We all visit http://stormspire.net or UMJ, even you, why make another? Also I find it lame to hide behind the "hud" so you can copy others work and not contribute with something original.

The only thing missing on WowMarketeer's site its a big banner saying "UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT" Like all those companies that got caught when they did something unethical....

    1. What i don't understand is why do people always look at things with a negative stance. I heard about the site, i checked it out and saw that it had different blogs and video editorials about different themes, and not just gold making, i liked it so i shared it with the other readers.

As for everyone knowing about Stormspire and TUMJ you would be wrong to assume that. I've had numerous occasions where i would direct people to the blog about a certain question they had about gold making, just to have them go "Woah didn't know there were blogs about that as well" and from here they find about different blogs from the blogroll or the podcast RSS feed. And this is the only reason why i like to have links to every possible source of information that is covering WoW.

And the last thing that is worth mentioning is that i don't monetize from this, well actually there is the google ads but that only pays up if someone clicks on an ad which is very rare, no i do this blog because i wanted to give back to the community, and show them there really isn't any real need to go and buy gold and feed the hacking industry but instead spend some time and make their own gold.

  3. Look at all these jealous people posting comments about WoWMarketeer. It's clear to me they are still mad about how awesome he is. He produces better content and they are just scared is all. Vile don't let them drag you into this mess either. They look far worse by belittling people all over their twitters and blog and have been now for 2 months. They thrive off this kind of nonsense. It will drive them into the ground because they sure aren't getting any bigger or more prominent!

  4. Who the fuck is this Cold guy anyway. All I ever see about him is comments calling people plagiarists. Is he supposed to be some good gold making guru or another one of those people spamming clickbank ads all over their site? Either way, he's a prick.

    1. Well actually in reality he's a nice guy, and quite pleasant to talk to. He is the owner of Cold's Gold Factory that's a blog about gold making, and he one one of the few that helped me out when i was starting out by putting me up on his blog roll. But a few posts ago i made a post about market manipulation and googled that term for an image, well it turned out that he had that same idea and the same image in an older post he did like 7 or 8 months ago so he simply called me a plagiarist, yelled out wolf on Twitter and deleted me from Skype.

So that's all there is to it, and even though he's got a bit of a burst out nature, i wouldn't call him a prick.

  5. I think the way you described him... "child" seems to be a better fit. And this guy claims to be a professional blogger... Is it professional to run your mouth on twitter and post random raging outbursts on blog comments? People like him wonder why they cant get anywhere in the blogging community. You cant be a professional when you use child tactics.

I understand he has helped you but look what he is doing to you now. He comes to your blog and says "your on my shit list", calls you a plagiarizer, calls wowmarket a plagiarizer and has another history with Marcko on the same topic. Seems this guy has a thing for people who do better than him.

    yeah, he's a prick.

  6. I don't care what kind of person Cold or Vile is. The point here is what Cold said was immature and yes, childish. WoWmarketeer is a great person and never copied anyone intentionally. He was told about the "shopping" list on his blog and once he found out about it he removed it, especially when he found out it was Faids.

Why is all of this still going on? I thought you lot already had your hate fest on twitter and through your blog posts. Now you continue on other people's blogs? I just ticked unfollow on 3 people because of you Cold. I thought I would give it some time to blow over and see you lot stop rambling about this but here we are a month later and you still have nothing better to do. Your problem is you don't know when to shut up.

  7. My stupid phone won't let me comment directly under anon. above so I will just leave my comment here. I am bot coming to anyone's rescue. I was telling vile thank you for the kind words about a website that my husband and o have been working hard to develop or quite awhile now. A site that looks like that with the type of functionality it has doesnt appear overnight. We have had it planned for awhile now to do something like this with the wowmarketeer branding. It just took time to really make it all happen.

And as to not contributing new content. You will fond that is completely false. While arida and I have been busy creating this site, arida is also continuing to blog directly on wowmarketeer.com and I have started a blog there as well. We have also set up a newer blogger on the site, jorick. Additionally we are working to beef up the guides section through viewer suggestions, submissions, and our own guides. In fact, I have something in the works that when done will be a good tool for the readers of our site.

I think what bothers people the most about the new wowmarketeer is our belief system. We believe that all of this information can, and should, be compiled for free. It is all readily available out there, so we are striving to make it available to people who may not have an extra amount of money to purchase something. And the level of quality we are looking to produce takes some time. You will notice that the wowm site has no ads, no pay for it guides, nothing. We want to build this place for people to be connected to bloggers about every aspect of wow and videos and live streams etc. There is no reason to call us out for doing this for free and for the fans. I'm sorry if it angers people that we would do such a thing for free.

In the end, I will say this. Wowmarketeer isnt going anywhere. Arida and I have been wanting to do this joint venture for months and we have finally gotten it out there. We will continue to produce high quality videos, support bloggers who are doing things for the right reasons, and put out the best quality content we can no matter how many trolls try to bring us down.

  8. Guys when i made this post i simply wanted to make it about a new site i heard about and not a flame war that is derailing into a totally different thing.

So lets just keep it civil and constructive and leave out the negative comments out.

    1. I haven't deleted anyone's comment, if someone has had his comment removed it is only because he chose to remove it himself.

    2. Actually the reason why those comments didn't appear the first time it was because the system recognized them as spam. Fixed that as well
